Venus Bay Eco Retreat is nestled in 15 acres of Coast Banksia Woodland on the beautiful Venus Bay Peninsula, abutting the pristine sandy beaches of Cape Liptrap Coastal Park and Anderson Inlet, an internationally recognised migratory bird habitat.

Managed primarily for wildlife conservation, Venus Bay Eco Retreat is certified Advanced Ecotourism with Ecotourism Australia’s world leading accreditation program, registered with Land for Wildlife since 1990, and protected by a Trust for Nature covenant. You are visiting an authentic, certified retreat that genuinely contributes to nature conservation.

Only 2 hours from central Melbourne, this unique retreat is an ideal getaway for couples or small groups. Hidden away from suburban areas you are immersed in the bushland setting from the comforts of Correa Cabin, the only visitor accommodation cabin at the retreat. Leave the car safely parked and walk or cycle, meet the local wildlife, and experience luxurious accommodation designed to help you connect with the natural environment. Local maps, great books, free bicycles, linen, beach towels and organic bathroom products are included in the tariff. Bushwalking trails, beach walks, bicycle tracks, surfing and bird watching sites are walking distance from the retreat. This is a low impact retreat sleeping a maximum of five guests.

Venus Bay Eco Retreat is conveniently located for exploring the South Gippsland coast throughout the year and escaping the holiday crowds. Your host has lived in the area for more than twenty years and is available to help you make the most of your visit to this beautiful region, including South Gippsland’s much loved slow food trail, national and marine parks, galleries and cafes. Wilsons Promontory National Park, Bunurong Marine National Park and Phillip Island are short day trips from the retreat.
