Mount Pleasant Homestead

MOUNT PLEASANT HOMESTEAD is a AAAT 4.5 star luxury accommodation designed for discerning couples looking for a tranquil break in a picturesque rural setting. The homestead is situated on a working cattle farm in the Milawa gourmet/King Valley winery region.

The self-contained home, which has recently been refurbished, offers guests every comfort with ducted heating and cooling throughout as well as a sleek, new, full kitchen with s/steel appliances including a dishwasher and espresso coffee machine.

Guests can choose between a queen bedroom with ensuite including a bath and separate shower or the queen bedroom with a private spa bathroom and separate shower. Both bathrooms have heated towelracks and hair dryers for guests to use.

The separate lounge with its brightly coloured furnishings, white leather sofa and teak wall unit, boasts an LCD TV, Austar and DVD with surround sound system. A range of CDs and DVDs are available for guests to enjoy in the ambiance created by the wood fire on a cold winters night.

For guests wishing to stay for a week or more, there are fully operational laundry facilities available with washing machine, dryer, ironing board and iron at your disposal.

Guests will find provisions for a hearty breakfast left in the refrigerater for comsuption at their leisure. The hamper includes: salmon/bacon, farm fresh eggs, tomatoes, mushrooms, locally baked bread and home made muesli and preserves, juice, yogurt and seasonal fruit.

There is a paved barbeque area in the garden, under the shade of large ash trees, where guests can sit and take in the sunset with a glass of complimentary sparkling wine whilst listening to the twittering of the many and varied birdlife.

Although the homestead is located in a secluded rural position, it is just 10 minutes drive from Wangaratta and all it has to offer, including the well known annual Jazz and Blues festival in November.

Milawa gourmet region with its choice of olives, honey, home made mustards, award winning cheeses and many wineries is just minutes away.The King Valley also offers tourists the option of wineries with luncheon menus to match. A leisurely drive will take you to either Bright with its renowned autumn festival or Beechworth with its historical buildings and gastrinomical delights!

Mount Pleasant Homestead has a no smoking policy and does not cater for pets. As this is a couples retreat children are charged the same rate as adults.
