Karelia Alpine Lodge is the only Austrian-Swiss Chalet in Falls Creek.

We offer the finest and most affordable Alpine style accommodation (Winter and Summer) that is second to none. The Chalet is located in an absolute ski-in/ski-out location close to the  Falls Express chair lift that is the closest chair lift to the ski school and also close to most of our summer walking tracks.

The minute you walk in you could be forgiven for thinking that you were in the Austrian-Swiss Alps and not the home grown variety. Much of the furniture and Austrian trimmings are hand carved to perfection by a master carver.
The Chalet is a perfect place for a romantic weekend (honeymoon rooms) or the annual family holiday (Summer or Winter). The family rooms and penthouse rooms boast two interconnecting rooms. (Children bunk beds, adults double bed).

All rooms have full ensuite including electric towel rail & hairdryer, and are furbished with hand crafted timber furniture, radio, TV with free in-house movies 3 DVD channels with over 100 movies and mini bar fridge.

The Chalet has two restaurants, the house guests restaurant offers hearty four course meals which consists of three choices and the menu changes daily, and the Public J.B.’s Restaurant offers signature dishes such as Swiss style fondues, (meat, cheese and chocolate), Czech style sirloin roast with dumplings, Hungarian goulash with dumplings, Austrian apple strudel, etc along with Australian cuisine.
