Things to do

There are abundant things to do in Torquay and the greater region. Ofcourse our main attraction are our beautiful beaches. There are beaches safe for small kids (Cosy Corner) and surf beaches for loads of fun (Torquay and Jan Juc). You can walk to Jan Juc beach and many surf spots.

For the serious surfer there’s the world famous Bells Beach and Winkipop. There are surfing schools if you want to learn, or windsurfing and kite-surfing on those windy days at Cosy Corner.

For the fisherman there are some good fish to be caught from the beaches and Spring Creek, just check for the local Marine Park boundaries.

There is so much more to do than just go to the beach. For the active there are spectacular bush walks/rides, golf and tiger moth rides. There are many stunning wineries in the region to fill in cooler days. Torquay also boasts a great choice of restaurants and cafes along its buzing shopping district. Its the best place to shop for surf gear with all the best brand retail outlets in walking distance to each other.

Great Ocean Road and the Bellarine Peninsula

Our famous touring route the 'Great Ocean Road' will take you to other beautiful towns and beaches like Anglesea, Lorne and Aireys Inlet. Or a day trip to Apollo Bay and down to the Twelve Apostles, with many activities to do and things to see along the way.

An enjoyable drive in the other direction takes you to the Bellerine Peninsula with its beautiful towns and beaches of Barwon Heads, Ocean Grove, Pt Lonsdale and Queenscliff.
