White Water Rafting/Sports Rafting

Australian Adventure Experience’s selection of “Mild to Wild”  rafting tours allows visitors from all corners of the globe to experience the scenic beauty of Victoria. Our range appeals from the "armchair adventurer" right through to clients seeking the ultimate wilderness experience - rafting grade 4/5 rivers, camping on remote riverbanks, in the isolated beauty of Victoria's National Parks.

Rock Climbing & Abseiling

Whether you're new to this exciting sport, or an experienced climber AAE has a climbing program to suit your level of expertise.

Experience a day out rock climbing and discover much more than just getting to the top.

Feel of excitement grow as you tie into the rope,
Marvel at the views across the tops of remnant manna gum forests from the half way ledge,
Listen to the cheers of friendly support and yes, there is the feeling of achievement at the top.

Off Road Mountain Bike Adventures

Front suspension, disk breaks, 24 gears, and lightweight frames have revolutionized bike riding. Mt biking is an off road adventure at its best. Visit majestic forests, cross-rivers and streams, reach lookouts and mountaintops. Just about everybody rode a bike as a young kid. Now ride one as a 'BIG KID'.

Mountain Biking, A Little More Relaxed...

Wanting something a little more relaxed? Explore gentle, quiet country roads, or tour up above the snowline in summer, marvel at the expanding views of open spaces, visit a heritage building or an aboriginal site, tour the antique or winery trails. Enjoy a comfortable night in a country cottage, friendly B&B, add some great food, a bottle of local wine and your short break away from the city will be complete.

Bush Walking

Come and see for yourself...
The views from the Great Dividing Range are spectacular, however many of us have never seen them. Victoria is rich in remote trails to spectacular peaks, airy ridge crossings, gold mining settlements, timber tramways, remnant rain forests, tree fern lined gullies, waterfalls and magnificent wildlife. Most of this is only accessible on foot.

Bushwalking & Expedition Logistics

For those of you that already explore Victoria's great variety of national or state parks, the high country and remote wilderness areas. Let us assist you in off track transportation, logistical support, food drops, and expedition planning.

Platypus Paddle

Enjoy a gentle rafting trip on the scenic lower Goulburn River and experience the platypus, as well as other native fauna, in a natural environment.

Nocturnal by nature, these shy secretive monotremes (egg-laying mammal) are often seen in their natural habitat during daylight by fishermen and observant paddlers. Ever alert for signs of danger, they submerge to the safety of their underwater playground, only to re-emerge some 3 or 4 minutes later. A “bow wave” is often what attracts your attention.

The tours are conducted either early in the morning or late in the afternoon, as platypi are generally more active at these times. Each tour includes morning/afternoon tea, however a gourmet lunch of fresh local produce can be arranged at an additional fee.

Snow Kiting

Snow kiting combines either skiing or snowboarding with a small parachute, enabling the snow kiter to explore unlifted areas and/or feel the thrill of moving along on flat terrain. As you progress in the sport, new opportunities (and terrain) open up - intermediates can go uphill on skis or a snowboard, riding or skiing all day without the need for a chairlift. Advanced riders can also do breathtaking aerial tricks off of banks and berms, giving a whole new meaning to 'getting air'.
